In this video we’ll consider what to wear for a location portrait. Whether architecture or garden the background plays a big role in achieving harmony in your portrait. In this next video I’ll be giving examples of helping my clients with the proper clothing for the background.
In previous videos I’ve talked about what to wear for a portrait based on the room it would be displayed in, black and white or color, background choices and how to have a meaningful portrait.
In this example, Jessica wanted her location portrait in her living room. Any patterned clothing would have competed with her bold art work. The cream linen was a perfect choice. Notice the little bit of salmon color on the daughter’s sash. It’s the little details that take a portrait to the extraordinary.
