Get started by organizing your photos
First things first in creating a family album! I had to get 5,000 images from over 18 years of photos from across various devices like cell phones, computers, laptops and multiple family members! After I loaded everything onto my hard drive and backed it up I started organizing. All the images needed to be numbered and renamed in order to keep consistent and to be able to find them a second time. Early years had to be scanned first from photos and negatives.
Olivia was sent folders of each year and asked to pick out the favorite memories and the photos that told the best story. After the decision of what goes into the album I started putting the photos on panoramic pages. Each page or more represented a year. After they were on the pages I had her check to make sure it made sense to her as far as the story. Very early years were separated by each child. I know how hard it is to tell who’s who when you look back on those infant photos. Here are some pages from her storybook:
Remember, there’s no cost, and no obligation to just chat with me. These are your memories – don’t trust them to just anyone. You’ve nothing to lose, and so many great memories to gain. 301-565-4900
