A photo organizer helps you by creating order out of your prints, memorabilia and digital images so you can find the images you want to share and enjoy them. Some clients have a lifetime of memories and some are just trying to organize their growing children’s images. How I organize your images depends on your needs and how you want to be able to retrieve them.
Almost overnight negatives and film were replaced with digital cameras and we gained the ability to snap hundreds of photos in an instant. Most of us have quickly become overwhelmed with the sheer number of photos we take and find that the images linger on our cameras, computers and phones as well as taking up more than their fair share of memory along with them! In addition, the pictures that we do manage to print and all of those printed prior to the digital camera era, are usually still in boxes, bins and bags.
Organizing photos can be an intimidating and time-consuming task and one we tend to think can only be done by us alone, however most of us long to someday “tackle” this task because it is so worthwhile to preserve memories and have the ability to share them with others. As an organizer I can work in many capacities from just helping you sort prints to making a memory book or digital show of your family. Being a personal photo organizer is not just about organizing; it’s about telling stories.
That is where I would love to help whether digital or traditional. My goal is to come alongside you help you make sense of that huge pile of photos . . . by doing it for you, with you, or by sharing ideas and techniques you can use to do it on your own. Here is a photo of what my hard drive looked like before I organized and the second photo shows them neatly organized:

I have been a photographer and artist for the past 30 years although, since I was a very young child I have loved organizing things. The first thing I remember organizing was my mother’s book-shelf when I was five. I’m not going to say how that turned out! Today, I still love to organize and it is a natural extension of what I have been doing for the last 30 years for my clients. I will bring all of my skills to help you preserve a lifetime of memories in a way that you can use and enjoy your images.
Also, I have a life-long interested in creating beauty in its many forms. I’m inspired by other artists and the beautiful world we live in. With our collaborative process you will end up with beautifully organized files of your photographs and, if you wish, I will design artistic personal art of you and your family. I love the challenge of finding out about you and your collections to organize and create something that goes beyond what you envisioned. Over the years, I have created unique and beautiful story book albums and portraits for my clients. If there is a product you’d like to explore such as an album or wall collage I have experience in room design, framing and collections.
To establish this business, I joined Appo, the Association of Professional Organizers. Right now I’m offering print organizing, digital organizing, photo books and gifts. Here is a link to What is APPO? http://appo.site-ym.com/?page=aboutappo
One of the things that distinguish my business from other companies is the focused attention I give my clients in planning your project. I enjoy the process of exploration of what’s important to you. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you.
